I'm a linocut printmaker and illustrator in Portland, Oregon. Pet Sounds is my desert island album of choice. Ardent supporter of the Oxford comma. Nature fan.
Linocut is a relief printmaking process that involves carving designs by hand out of linoleum sheets (or “blocks”), rolling the blocks with ink, and printing them on paper. Often multiple blocks are used to build up the final image. Everything you see here was handmade in this manner, with occasional use of digital pencil. This is more time- and labor-intensive than exclusively working with digital media, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I like to leave room for the unexpected.
